On Jul 1, 2026, join us in Courtenay for the Canada Day Celebrations. There's a Canada Day parade at 10 a.m. down 5th Street, featuring floats, music and community groups.
The fun continues at Lewis Park from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with activities for all ages, including a kids’ zone, food trucks, vendors, activity booths, welcoming ceremonies and cake. That's where you can come meet with us and find out more about the railway and check out the cool speeder that used to be used for track inspections long ago!
There will be Live music at the Lewis Park stage beginning with Nathan Senner at 11 a.m., a local singer-songwriter known for his acoustic style and heartfelt lyrics.
The Big Easy Funk Ensemble headlines the afternoon with a performance from 1 to 2:30 p.m., bringing high-energy New Orleans-style funk, jazz and soul to the stage.
