The State of the Island Economic Report
The SOTI has two cities on the top BC population density chart! Travel requirements between Nanaimo and Victoria are increasing!
Restoring this vital shipping and passenger rail line between Victoria to Courtenay becomes more important every year!
Areas of the island are cheaper to live.
Only if the commute doesn't break the bank!
A rail system would allow the population to reach inexpensive areas for $200 a month which is great for those struggling to live and work here.
While the rail line might seem like it would have a one track mind, it doesn't! Our ancestors had the foresight to install Sidings!
Sidings allow trains to safely pass one another
given the entire line has room for twinning, they can be added to improve service!
Like this new Side-Trail added to the Shawnigan Section of the Rail line?
Through regional partnerships, use of the track and how it will be profitable or improve quality of life for Islanders is all the plan!
